The first "Shining Female Researcher Award (Jun Ashida Award)" has been decided
The first award ceremony for the "Shining Female Researcher Award (Jun Ashida Award)," which was established by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) as part of its diversity initiative, was held at the Miraikan (National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation) in Koto Ward, Tokyo. The Ashida Fund, which was established in 1994 with the aim of nurturing young people, supports and supports the aim of promoting the activities of female researchers.
After a screening process consisting of a panel of world-renowned external experts, led by the chairperson of the selection committee, Torii Keiko, the winner of the Brilliant Female Researcher Award (Jun Ashida Award) was selected from a very large number of excellent applicants. Ms. Ebisuya Miki, who is currently engaged in original research in Barcelona on "Mechanisms in which time scales differ depending on biological species," was awarded the award. She was presented with a commemorative trophy and a prize of 1 million yen by Ashida Tae.
Additionally, the recipient of the "Shining Female Researcher Award (Japan Science and Technology Agency President's Award)" was Aiko Fukasawa, and the recipient of the "Shining Female Researcher Promotion Award (Jun Ashida Award)" was Kyushu University, a national university corporation.

The 1st Brilliant Female Researchers Award (Jun Ashida Award) Announced
A presentation ceremony for the 1st Brilliant Female Researchers Award (Jun Ashida Award), established as part of the efforts of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) to promote diversity in the sciences, was recently held at Miraikan - the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Arising from the wish to support the work of female scientists, the award is sponsored by the Jun Ashida Foundation, established in 1994 with the purpose of fostering young people.
After rigorous of a large number of worthy candidates by the selection committee, headed by Selection Committee Chairperson Keiko Torii and comprised of numerous internationally recognized authorities in the sciences, the 1st Brilliant Female Researchers Award (Jun Ashida Award) was presented to Miki Ebisuya, who is engaged in research at the University of Barcelona exploring the innovative subject of differenting time scales in the developmental mechanisms of various life forms. Tae Ashida presented Ms. Ebisuya with the trophy and prize of one million consideration yen.
The Brilliant Female Researchers Award (JST President's Award) was presented to Aiko Fukazawa, and the Brilliant Female Researchers Award Research Support Award was conferred on Kyushu University.
